This is a handy side to know. It’s quick and easy and goes with just about anything. I especially love it with something that has a delicious sauce it can soak up.
20 minutes to prepare
1 1/2 cup orzo
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
sea salt and pepper to taste
Bring a medium size pot of water to boil and add orzo. Cook until tender 9-12 minutes depending on your brand.
Drain orzo. While orzo is draining, return pan to heat and add butter. When butter foams, add garlic and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until butter browns and garlic turns golden. Take pan off heat, return orzo to pan and toss to mix in butter and garlic. Add parsley and toss again. Tast for seasoning, adding more salt and pepper if necessary. Serve.
